Bring the site details into the conversation
Start with the address, intended use, requested dates and an on-site contact. Describe the access route and the available standing area, including gates, surface conditions and any time restrictions.
Ask what is included in the arrangement, what you need to prepare and how changes will be handled. Availability, delivery and collection windows are confirmed for your location; a quote request is not a reservation.
Coordinate with the rest of the rental
If you also need portable toilets or handwashing, include those in the same request. Coordinate placement so one delivery does not block another supplier or an ongoing service visit.
Separate the perimeter from the access plan
Give the overall boundary and identify where people and vehicles must enter. A continuous line of panels is not enough if it blocks the route needed for deliveries, servicing or the normal operation of the property. Discuss gate positions before settling on quantities.
Explain what the barrier needs to do
Crowd direction, temporary site boundaries and restricted work areas are different requirements. Describe the purpose, ground surface and expected rental length so the appropriate equipment and setup arrangements can be discussed. Ask about changes as the site layout develops.
Questions worth asking before booking
What measurements help with a fencing quote?
Provide the approximate run lengths, corners and desired gate locations, along with a layout if you have one. Confirm the final arrangement with the rental team rather than ordering by boundary length alone.
